The Living Hope Application
The Board of National Service Charity is pleased to announce a major sponsorship opportunity for individuals with severe disabilities through the Living Hope Project. This initiative seeks to provide a debt-free residence, mobility within the community, and support a sustainable future for the recipient.

- Applicants must be between 18 and 64 years old.
- Must be a high school graduate.
- Must reside within the United States and hold U.S. citizenship.
- Applications must include two references, a copy of a driver’s license, and a Medicaid card. If the applicant is not on Medicaid, documentation of the disability must be provided.
- Applications that do not meet these requirements will not be considered.
- Applications will end the first week of November, 2024.
- Resilience and Determination:
- Demonstrates a positive and resilient mindset, overcoming obstacles related to their disability. Shows hope and motivation even in the face of challenges.
- Self-Care and Independence:
- Takes responsibility for their self-care within the limits of their disability, showing initiative in maintaining independence.
- Pursuit of Education:
- Engaged in higher education, with preference given to college graduates.
- Proficiency in English:
- Able to speak and read English proficiently.
- Faith and Community Involvement:
- Actively participates in a faith community, with strong moral character demonstrated through participation and discipline of faith. Has a reliable support system, balancing self-reliance with effective use of external resources such as therapy, case managers, and faith-based support.
- High Moral Character:
- References must confirm the applicant’s integrity, moral character, and positive contributions to their community. References can be sent to [email protected].
- Goal-Oriented:
- Has well-defined personal goals, whether in education, employment, or personal development, and a clear plan to achieve them.
- Advocacy and Community Involvement:
- Actively involved in disability advocacy or community service, showing a desire to give back. This can include volunteering, mentoring, or other forms of engagement, such as writing or public speaking.
- Financial Responsibility and Need:
- Demonstrates financial need while showing responsibility in managing existing resources. The applicant should be working toward self-sufficiency or reducing dependence on external support. Financial documents may be submitted to [email protected].
- Health and Disability Management:
- Actively engaged in managing their health or disability, following prescribed treatments, therapies, or rehabilitation programs. The applicant is knowledgeable about their condition and takes steps to improve or maintain their stability.
